Lazio, the Serie A Italian club, is working round the clock to pry away Alex Iwobi who is the Super Eagles youngster from Arsenal, part of the club. The news outlet issued the news where they stated that Lazio has lined up this move for the 22-year-old as well as his teammate from the Gunners, Lucas Perez. They are also considering options such as Joaquin Correa of Sevilla’s as well as Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid.

The recruitment plans of Lazio involve recruiting the Nigerian who would become a replacement player for Felipe Anderson; the latter has left this summer to join the Premier League club, West Ham. The club transfer fees for his transfer is 36 million pounds.

Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi has said that the club have their destiny in their own hands with victories in their remaining league games assuring them of Champions League football. The Capital outfit have a tricky fixture against Torino this weekend and Inzaghi has urged his players to maintain the focus on the current fixture.

Lazio has placed an incredible price of € 150 million on midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic amidst interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are reportedly ready to make a move for the Serbian midfielder, who has caught the attention of several top European clubs in the last 12 months.

The representative of Ciro Immobile has suggested that the 27-year-old would have run to Napoli, had the Serie A leaders approached for his signature earlier in his career. The Italy international returned to the Serie A during the summer of 2016 following an average spell with Borussia Dortmund where he managed just 10 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions.

In a report covered by Football Italia, agent Marco Sommella said that Immobile would have accepted a move to Napoli with both hands, if they had enquired for his services while at Dortmund. However, he does not believe his client will pursue a fresh challenge in the summer, should Lazio achieve their objectives for the season.

Lucas Leiva has revealed that his move to Lazio was initiated by “the need for a new challenge” but also confessed that he was very close to a move to Inter Milan in the past.

The former Liverpool stalwart who spent a decade at Anfield was bought by the Serie A club in the summer a season a replacement for Lucas Biglia but he then implied that he would have played in Italian football had Roberto Mancini had his way when he was a manager at Inter Milan.

Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi claims that striker Ciro Immobile is starting to display his all-round talent in the game.

The 27-year-old came to the club from Sevilla just around a year ago for only around € 8.7 million. However, he came in with a spectacular 23 goals in his first season at the club. At the start of the 2017-18 campaign, he has been able to improve even more. He has been able to score 12 goals in all competitions already. And it has helped Lazio make significant progress in the league table.

Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi says that he needs the help of more signings in order to take the club back into the Champions League or even Europa League on a regular basis.

The club managed to win the Super Cup by beating reigning Italian Serie A champions Juventus at the start of the season. Despite this hugely positive result, Simone Inzaghi says that Lazio may not be well prepared for the upcoming campaign, as the club will also have to deal with the exertions in the Europa league. Last season, the club managed a fifth place finish – seven points ahead of AC Milan and eight of Inter Milan. Yet, both clubs have significantly strengthened in the summer and will be aiming for the top three positions.

Simone Inzaghi made his debut season as the head coach of Lazio during their campaign of 2016-17.

The 41 year old tactician was able to guide the Italian club to the 5th spot of the Serie A which is fairly impressive, especially taking into consideration that the previous season of 2015-16 saw Lazio having to settle in the 8th position.

Lazio also managed to reach the finals of the 2016-17 edition of the Copa Italia where they had to face off with Juventus and eventually had to succumb to a 0-2 defeat but it still was a memorable campaign for Simone Inzaghi and his squad.

Serie A club Lazio are not in the hunt to sign Croatian midfielder Milan Baldelj this summer, agent Dejan Joksimovic has revealed.

The Capital outfit had yet another impressive season in the Italian Serie A as they finished in fifth place.

Baldelj, who has been a regular performer for Fiorentina, came close to linking up with AC Milan during the winter transfer window before the deal collapsed. He has since been linked with a whole host of clubs including Lazio in recent weeks, but his representative has denied any talks with the Rome-based club.

Napoli kept their Champions League hopes alive with a confident 3-0 defeat of Lazio over the weekend. Jose Callejon and Lorenzo Insigne combined to redeem the plunging confidence of the team following their Italian Cup exit to Juventus.

Had Napoli failed to get the desired result, it would have put their Champions League dream in doubts. Ahead of the trip to the StadioOlimpico, Napoli were yet to lose to Lazio since April 2012.
