Lazio have made an official bid for highly rated Brazilian Hernanes. The 25-year-old is a product of the Brazilian club's academy and Lazio are keen on bringing him to the Stadio Olimpico.

Hernanes has been linked to the Biancocelesti as well as Serie A rivals AC Milan, and is thought to be valued at €10million (£8.4m).

His agent Joseph Lee told La Repubblica: "There is an offer from Lazio and it is serious and I know that San Paolo is considering in the coming days and will decide what to do."

Gaetano D’Agostino may be on his way out of Udinese this summer and his representative admits that Lazio are in the driving seat to secure his services.

“Lazio are one of the teams that have never hidden their interest in D’Agostino,” agent Franco Zavaglia told Radio Radio.

But the Eternal City outfit are unlikely to make a move for D’Agostino during the transfer window if they decide to keep hold of playmaker Cristian Ledesma.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has insisted "the sportsmanship and integrity of the club and players cannot be in doubt".

Lotito has rallied against widespread criticism of the team's performance against Inter Milan on Sunday. The Biancoceleste lost 2-0 to an Inter side who are challenging for the Scudetto against Lazio's bitter rivals Roma.

The home fans at the Stadio Olimpico were cheering for Inter, leading to accusations Lazio had rolled over to hinder Roma's title aspirations.
