The Lazio manager Vladimir Petkovic has said that the club will certainly not be defensive when they take on Tottenham at white Hart Lane in the Europa league group stages. Tottenham will be playing against Europa league opponents Lazio at the White Hart Lane.

They are the two teams favourite to qualify from this group, which makes this a crunch match for both opponents. Hence, the Italian club will not be very defensive in their approach for this match according to the manager Vladimir Petkovic. Tottenham are still searching for their best form the Premier league, as they come on the back of numerous draws and a defeat against Newcastle United.

However, there have been some promising signs from the manager Andre Villas-Boas in the last few matches and he will be looking to get a victory under the belt. Lazio come into the match after having won the first three matches of the Italian Serie A, thus confirming their status as one of the favourite teams for the Italian Serie A title this season. He has also said that he will not only be focusing on the domestic competition, but will also be testing the abilities of the team in the European competitions as well.

"For me it is important to play on an international level, because it can help the team to grow by facing a different reality. The difference in football can only be positive and seen as a learning experience. We will respect our opponents, but try to seize the initiative so, we will neutralise Tottenham’s style of football by imposing our own tactics. Tottenham do not just have strength down the flanks, but also through the middle where they are very physical," said the Lazio manager ahead of the match. Lazio will face Genoa during the weekend.
