Lazio Announces Klose Is NOt For Sale

Italian outfit Lazio have revealed that they will not consider selling striker Miroslav Klose at any price in this transfer window. The German international is set to become hot property in world football, as he could be available for a nominal transfer fee. At 36 years of age, he does not have a long time left in football. However, he showed at the World Cup 2014 that he has not lost none of his predatory instincts. Klose became the record goal scorer at World Cup finals with 16 goals to his name. He went past the 14 goal tally of former Brazilian striker Ronaldo.

This has led to transfer rumours linking him with top clubs once again. Arsenal are reportedly taking a look at Klose. Arsene Wenger has been in the market for a new striker, but he has been refusing to pay over the odds for someone who will be a backup to Olivier Giroud. Klose represents a great option in this regard since he will be available for around £ 2 million. Lazio, who managed to get the striker on a free transfer, have denied reports that they will negotiate with Arsenal over the transfer of the 36-year-old.

“Now we have a champion who has scored the most goals in World Cups. The figure he had to reach, he has already done so, regardless of whether or not he scores in the final. In order to receive offers for a player, he must be placed on the market and Klose is not for sale,” said the Lazio president. Despite his records of the World Cup, Klose has not had a great career at club level after having scored just one goal in every three matches. Klose has played for big clubs like Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen in the past.
