Inter Milan have said that they will be having discussions with Lazio over the potential permanent transfer of Argentine forward Mauro Zarate.

It was very much expected that Mauro Zarate would be returning to Lazio at the end of the season, but the arrival of youth team coach Andrea Stramaccioni to the Inter Milan hot seat has changed the situations dramatically.

Lazio coach Edy Reja has said that he is extremely angry and disappointed at the fact that his side were not able to see out the match against Lecce during the weekend.

Lazio dropped two points after drawing the match 1-1, but they could have easily taken all three points had it not been for the late equaliser from Lecce.

SS Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma is aware of the threat posed by the AS Roma team that has been out of form for quite some time and he is afraid that they might just pick the derby match against their city rivals to come back to form. It is this backlash that worries Ledesma, one of the key figures in The Blues lineup this season, who are currently sitting on third position in the Italian League standings, seven points ahead of their city rivals.

And Ledesma knows that a victory against The Wolves is more than certain to qualify them for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

QPR have completed the signing of Lazio striker Djibril Cisse on the final day of the January transfer window.

Djibril Cisse decided to leave Lazio after struggling for both form and fitness during the first half of the season, and has signed a two and half year deal with QPR.

The move comes as a major announcement for QPR given that they now have the ability to attract some of the best quality players, who would have not otherwise come without the finances at the disposal of QPR.

Italian club Lazio could be interested in swapping former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse for Stuttgart midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic.

Djibril Cisse arrived with a lot of fanfare in the summer for about € 6 million, but he has struggled to settle in Italy. So far, he has scored only one goal in the league for Lazio, while his total goal tally stands at four. Hence, it is thought that Lazio are prepared to cut their losses by swapping the striker for a midfielder from Stuttgart.

Fresh from being on tour with Brazil's national team, Hernanes is keen to make sure he makes as big an impression on Serie A as he did do in the Brazilian league.

Now on his second season in Italian football, Hernanes reckons that Lazio have a chance to winning Lo Scudetto, and that the Bianocelesti are genuine title-challengers.

Lazio are interested in signing Djibril Cisse from Marseille in a highly anticipated move. Cisse is under contract until the summer of 2013, but he is reported to be one of the highest earners and Panathinaikos are willing to listen to offers.

Lazio are interested, however, they would only have room if the likes of rumoured Parma target Sergio Floccari were to leave Rome.

"He will only arrive if one of our strikers leaves," Lazio president Claudio Lotito told Corriere dello Sport.

"We have seven strikers in our team so he would be a replacement if one of them leaves."

Cana is high on the list for Lazio and they would be interested in signing him in the summer, according to the Free Football Bet website. The 27-year-old midfielder has been starring for Galatasaray this season following his summer move from Sunderland to Turkey.

Lazio tried to sign him in January, when Aston Villa, Fulham and Bolton were also linked.

Now Lazio have returned and are confident they will get their man.

Lazio are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle midfielder Jonas Gutierrez in the summer and are keeping close tabs on him.

The £10million-rated winger has impressed for the Magpies since joining the club in 2008 and according to IMScouting, the Serie A side are preparing to make a bid for the Argentina international.

Lazio chief Claudio Lotito is reportedly a big fan of the 28-year-old and is keen on luring him to Rome when the transfer windows opens again in the summer.

Lazio have won their first victory away from home since October. Goals either side of halftime from forwards Alvaro Gonzalez and Libor Kozak kept Lazio in third spot, seven points behind leaders AC Milan who won on Saturday.

A double from Antonio Di Natale, his 17th and 18th of the season, helped Udinese triumph 3-0 at Cesena to go fifth while there were convincing home wins for Cagliari and Sampdoria, 4-1 and 3-1 over Chievo Verona and Bologna respectively.
