When it comes to being known or popular in the world of football or in any sport in general, the players that make the most noise are the ones that can break records or mark their name in the history-books of a competition and someone that has achieved this status is the former attacker Filippo Inzaghi.

Filippo Inzaghi is now the head coach of the youth division of Ac.Milan but during his playing career, it’s hard to argue that he was and still is one of the most well-known Italian strikers in the history of the sport.

The mark that he made during his playing career can still be seen as he is the 9th highest goal-scorer in the Champions League and this is a player that stopped performing at a competitive level back in 2012.

Simone Inzaghi is the younger brother of Filippo and has had a difficult time trying to make a name for himself, at least in the same level how the former Ac.Milan player did.

However, recently Simone Inzaghi has been stepping out of the shadows of his brother as he has been in charge of Lazio since April of 2016 and the Italian club is doing a surprisingly impressive job in this season as they are currently located at the 6th spot with 44 points and have a realistic chance of competing for a European position.

"Our aim is to try to always do well. Forty points in 20 matches is a lot. We've got to applaud these lads, because in July probably nobody believed Lazio would put together 40 points and deserve them and should even have a few more. Now the difficult part comes because we're not a surprise anymore. We have the duty now to try to remain there right until the end’’ Simone Inzaghi said as he was talking about his current situation with Lazio.

If Simone Inzaghi is able to push Lazio to a European competition, he will certainly be making waves and his name is probably going to start being heard more regularly than it was a long time ago.
