Goals by Balde Keita in the 29th minute of the game and Senac Lulic around the 90th minute ensured that Lazio emerged victors against a rather formidable Empoli side on Sunday 25th.

Lazio have been riddled with injury issues amongst some of its star players such as Lucas Biglia, DusanBasta, Federico Marchetti and Bastos. They took the lead through Balde Keita at the 29th minute of the game with a right footed shot from the centre of the box that found its way into the bottom right corner of Empoli's net.

The game continued with both sides pressing on and Lazio getting some pretty good chances in an offside position which were called by the referee. An attempt from Lazio's Stefan Radu in the 39th minute with a left shooter taken all the way from outside the box after getting an assist from Marco Parolo was blocked by Empoli's goalie.

Empoli equally got a bit of the action as well in the 43rd minute of the game as an attempt from Empoli's Alberto Gilardino with a header from the centre of the box after being assisted by Manuel Pucciarelli is saved at the centre of the goal.

At the end of the first 45 minutes, Lazio had a one goal lead over Empoli. The both teams came back after the end of the half time and made some impressive strikes. Empoli began the offensive in the 46th minute after a right footed shot from Manuel Pucciarelli hit the bar. This attempt was assisted by Daniele Croce with a cross and taken by Manuel from a very difficult angle on the right.

The game continued with both sides making some pretty dangerous attempts until a header from Senad Lulic in the 90th minutes of the game put Lazio in a comfortable win over Empoli.
