Lazio has placed an incredible price of € 150 million on midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic amidst interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are reportedly ready to make a move for the Serbian midfielder, who has caught the attention of several top European clubs in the last 12 months.

Paris St Germain, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester City are all showing interest in the player, who has been at Lazio since 2015. Even though Sergej Milinkovic-Savic did not become a first-team regular at Lazio straightaway, he has been quite impressive in the 2017-18 campaign.

The 23-year-old has come up with four assists and 11 goals this season. These have made him the most important player at Lazio. Hence, the club is not ready to let him leave on a cheap and they will be demanding one of the exorbitant transfer funds out there. Lazio has seen Manchester United splash out a huge move money on the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba. However, the club is yet to cross the £ 100 million barrier in terms of players’ signings. Over the continent, however, things have been quite different with PSG signing players for close to £ 200 million. Earlier in the month, Lazio sporting director Igli Tare claimed that the club had turned down a €70 million offer for the player.
“Over the summer we received, and rejected, an offer worth €70m for Milinkovic-Savic. We want to make Lazio a point of arrival for players rather than a stepping stone to bigger clubs. We have a lot of work to do, but that is our objective,” said Tare. However, Lazio will be aware that the club cannot retain the player for much longer – especially on this kind of form. Hence, they are looking to receive as much transfer fee possible for the player.
