Lazio and the Napoli are reportedly discussing deals to swap players in the January transfer window deadline. Lazio President Claudio Lotito is hoping to receive a concrete offer in order to see the deal occur. He stated that the teams are looking for a solution to the benefit of all parties: “We are ready to make the players happy.”
Both sides are eyeing a spot in the Champions League for season 2011/12 and are looking to strengthen in required areas. Both teams are currently tied in second spot, seven points behind leaders Milan though Napoli do have a game in hand.
The side from the capital will look to add steel to a midfield brimming with creative talent such as Hernanes and Cristian Ledesma. Meanwhile, gli Azzurri are fighting on two fronts and want to ensure Coach Walter Mazzarri has adequate depth should Marek Hamsik be unavailable.
